Familles actuelles

Everything our families need to know once camp is underway. Find helpful information, answers to common questions and what to do when you need a hand.

Transport

Sunny Acres offers bus transportation for families who need it. Pick-up and drop-off details are provided to families before camp begins.

Règlement du camp

A few simple guidelines help keep Sunny Acres safe, respectful and enjoyable for everyone. Campers are expected to follow staff instructions, stay with their group, respect one another and take care of the camp and its facilities. Specific policies regarding safety, behaviour, attendance and other camp procedures are outlined in the Parent Handbook.

Communication

During the summer, our dedicated camp phone is the best way to reach us. Outside of camp season, email is the best way to get in touch, and messages are answered promptly. The summer phone number will be posted here in June.

Transport

Please drop off your children in the morning at the Penfiled Building and at the Casgrain circle in the afternoon. One of our staff members will be there to greet you. We ask that you remain in your cars where our staff will meet  and escort your kids directly to their groups and then back to your cars at the end of the day.

If you prefer you can also park your cars on campus and walk your kids to the Penfield Building and pick them up at the Casgrain Circle at the end of the day.

We know that for first timers, this may seem a little bit confusing. Please do not worry, we will have staff guiding you at the entrance of the college from both highway 40 and highway 20 during carpool hours.

Santé et sécurité

Your child’s safety is our first priority at Sunny Acres. Our staff are carefully selected and trained to supervise campers and handle the unexpected. Swim activities are led by qualified staff with recognized lifeguard credentials, and staff members are trained in CPR and first aid. We maintain appropriate supervision throughout the camp day and take particular care with younger campers and all water activities. Sunny Acres is also a peanut-free camp, helping us provide a safer environment for campers with allergies.

Objets trouvés

Left something behind at camp? Lost items are collected and kept at Sunny Acres so they can find their way back to their owners. Please label your camper’s belongings clearly — it makes returning misplaced items much easier. If you’re missing something, contact the camp office with a description of the item and your camper’s name.

Transport

We offer an optional lunch program all 5 days of the week. You do not need to order all 5 meals, you can pick as many or as few lunches as you like.

The cost per meal is $10.00.

We will be e-mailing the optional order forms home before the start of each week. A new lunch form needs to be submitted each week that your child attends camp.

All meals are peanut and nut free.

Jours de pluie

Sunny Acres is located on the beautiful John Abbott College campus in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue. Campers have access to an indoor pool, large gyms, outdoor fields, a 400-metre track, a climbing wall, dance studios and more. With so much space indoors and out, there’s always somewhere to go and something to do — rain or shine.

Transport

All campers will have one free swim period daily. (Supervised by our qualified team of Lifeguards).
